regular french
Through active participation in diversified and stimulating in-class learning and evaluation situations, the Regular French course allows students to develop and apply reading, writing and oral communication skills.
The course also helps them build knowledge of the francophone culture through discovery of various contemporary and literary works, diverse cultural experiences, and recognition of the role francophone literature and culture plays in their own lives. Students learn to establish links between French and other subjects, as well as between school and the world in which they live.
regular english second language
The Regular English Second-Language program is for students who are ready to build on the progress made in the regular elementary-level program. The goal is to develop an essential knowledge of grammar, literature and writing.
enriched english second language
The Enriched English Second-Language program is for students who have successfully completed the enriched English language program at the elementary level or who have, through other means, strengthened their English communication skills. The goal is to enhance an essential knowledge of grammar, literature and writing.
english mother tongue
The English Mother-Tongue program is for Cycle 2 students who have successfully completed an enriched English program or who have, through other means, acquired a solid command of idiomatic English. The goal is to build on their essential knowledge of grammar, literature and writing.

English
The goal of this program is to promote the reading and creation of a wide variety of texts: written, spoken and media. Our enriched English Language Arts program develops and hones essential language and communication skills, which serve our students well when they enroll in post-secondary education and embark on their chosen career paths.
Students explore a wide range of themes in both classic and modern literature. They are encouraged to respond to literature in a variety of ways, including personal responses, creative projects (oral and written) and both formal and informal essays.
Français langue seconde (fls)
Through active participation in learning and evaluating situations in class, the Français langue seconde program encourages students to develop and apply competencies in reading, writing and oral communication. They acquire knowledge and fine-tune strategies through activities linked to learning tools such as the lexicon, grammar, conjugation, lexical spelling, syntax and punctuation. The course also helps raise students’ awareness of the francophone culture and the world in which they live. At this level, students are expected to attain a functional level of spoken and written French.
Français langue seconde enrichi (flse)
The Français langue seconde enrichi program caters to students with good French language skills. Students follow an accelerated second-language program that allows them to integrate elements of oral and written language into everyday situations. Through text production or comprehension, they also learn grammar concepts as they apply to texts as a whole and to individual sentences, linguistic strategies or cultural reference points.
Français langue d’enseignement (Fle)
The Français langue d’enseignement program offers students various stimulating in-class learning and evaluation situations that enable them to develop and apply reading, oral and written communication skills as well as spontaneous interactions in French. The course also helps them build knowledge of the francophone culture through discovery of various contemporary and literary works, cultural experiences and recognition of the role the culture plays in their own lives. Students encounter the richness of words and books and learn to establish links between French and other subjects, as well as between school and the world in which they live. At this level, students are expected to be proficient in reading, writing and oral communication.
