PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
At Villa Maria, we believe in providing the personalized support that fosters the development of each of our students.
Project-Based Learning (PBL) is based on the principle of placing projects at the heart of the learning journey, rather than viewing them as activities completed after concepts have been taught. The goal is to personalize learning while maintaining the structure and expectations of the ministry’s curriculum.
Core subjects like math, science and language remain, but students will have more flexibility to explore interests that matter to them. This redesign introduces a structure for personal development, with each grade level built around a guiding theme. These themes span both academic and co-curricular life.
In addition, students will have experience periods during which they will be given the chance to learn by doing, immersing themselves in real-world projects that build skills, spark curiosity, and have a lasting impact.
