Beekeeping Activity

The Project

The Villa Maria campus is home to bee colonies overseen by EcoLab. Developed with Alvéole – a social enterprise founded in 2013 – our new beehives offer our students a safe and dynamic project.

Located in a fully enclosed area more than 80 meters from the school, the beehives help raise our students’ awareness of the essential role bees play in agriculture and food production.

Our hives will make it possible to produce 200 jars of honey by summer’s end – something everyone can get behind!
