A new Director General at Villa Maria High School
Montreal, Quebec – Villa Maria High School is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Christian Corno as Director General. This appointment is significant news for the institution, which is committed to ensuring the School’s sustainability and consolidating its position in Montreal’s educational ecosystem.
An experienced administrator and well-known figure in Quebec’s education community, Mr. Corno has extensive experience in post-secondary education. He previously served as Principal of Marianopolis College, where he spearheaded major strategic initiatives that strengthened the institution’s reputation and performance. In 2024, he played a central role in the acquisition of the Marianopolis campus from the Congrégation de Notre-Dame, an important milestone in ensuring the institution’s autonomy and sustainability.
A professor of economics by training, with a master’s degree in economics (UQAM) and a master’s degree in education (Université de Montréal), he has also held leadership roles at Champlain Regional College and within the Association des collèges privés du Québec, where he served as president for five years.
Mr. Corno stands out for his modern vision of education, his rigour, and his ability to rally teams around promising projects. His strategic and operational expertise is a major asset for Villa Maria.
In his new role, Christian Corno will be responsible for leading a crucial phase in the school’s positioning. His unifying leadership will help to support the educational development, innovation and student experience that form the basis of Villa Maria’s identity and mission.
