COURSE LIST

Villa Maria’s personalized approach and innovative teaching methods help each student succeed. We take individual differences into account and offer distinct resources that meet the varied needs of our students as they develop independence and reveal their potential.

Villa Maria’s programs are developed according to the model proposed by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement supérieur (MEES). This enables us to offer the resources needed to prepare students for higher education.

NEW FOR 2019–2020

Objectif français
French Sector

The “Objectif français” course evens the playing field for allophone students, students new to Quebec and students experiencing difficulties with French.

The climate, which the teachers establish in class, promotes an active approach to the students’ work, encouraging learning.

The “Objectif français” course will now be offered to Secondary 3 students in addition to Secondary 1 and 2.

Mathematics +
English and French Sectors

Available to Secondary 1 students, this mathematics course seeks to develop and deepen the students’ problem-solving skills. More complex activities and real problems enrich the regular mathematics program.

DISTINCTION PROGRAM

ACADEMIC
EXCELLENCE

At Villa Maria, in addition to promoting students’ academic, personal and social development, we encourage them to excel, which is why we have created the Distinction Program.

Students who meet program requirements are given the option to supplement the standard curriculum with extra-credit courses offered after regular school hours. The additional credits they earn appear on their report card and are recognized by the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supérieur (MEES). Distinction Program students also receive a certificate and special recognition on their diploma.

EcoLab is a set of exploratory spaces where students can take on scientific and technological projects involving environmental themes, including:

  • Tuition fees are reviewed and subject to change every year.
  • Basic fees are subject to change if the Ministry of Education reduces its grant to private schools.
  • Additional charges may apply for students requiring learning-based modifications to their program of studies.
  • Family discount: a discount on the regular tuition fee will be applied to all families who have more than one child at Villa Maria: 10% discount for the 2nd student from the same family and a 25% discount for the 3rd student, 4th student, etc., attending Villa Maria during the same school year.
