Preadmission 2022-2023

PREADMISSION - 2022-2023 ACADEMIC YEAR

The pre-admission application period for the 2022-23 school year will open on October 06, 2020. You will then be able to register your child online.

We have recently changed our admissions process.

Please note that students are selected based on an analysis of their academic record. There are no longer entrance exam sessions.

When applying to both sectors an application form must be completed for each sector.

Please ensure you have the following documents ready before completing the application form:

  • Report cards: Digital copies of the student’s final report card for the last two years (June 2020 and January 2021)
  • Birth certificate: A digital copy indicating the name of the child’s mother and father
  • If the child was born outside Canada:
    • A digital copy of the citizenship or permanent resident’s card or certificate, or a copy of the student’s and parents’ visas, if applicable.
    • Two pieces of identification showing the name and address of a parent residing in Quebec (digital copy). Please note: Medicare cards do not provide an address and are therefore not permissible as a form of proof.
  • If the student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), include a copy of the most recent version and the neurological report. It will be taken into consideration in reviewing your child’s file.

The deadline to submit documents is February 8th, 2021

The online application form (Please note that the application will time out after 45 minutes if not completed.):

  • Step 1 - Personal information
  • Step 2 - A username and password will be created for the admissions portal.
    • Keep this information in a safe place as it will be needed to log into the portal.
  • Step 3 - Upload all required documents.
  • Step 4 - Online payment of $50 for administrative fees.

Once the application has been submitted changes on Step 1 can no longer be made online. An email must be sent to admissions.

Wait for the school’s decision, which will be made after all applicants’ files have been reviewed. The verdicts will be published on the Villa Maria Portal. There are three possible outcomes:

  • The student is accepted
  • The student is put on a waiting list
  • The student is not accepted

Applications placed on the waiting list will be re-evaluated when processing the new applications in September.

For students who are accepted:
A non-refundable registration fee of $200 will be payable at that time to confirm your registration.

Secondary 1 to 5

Complete your
registration

After being accepted to Villa Maria College, you must send us your registration form and pay the admission fees. Please send us the form and payment according to the instructions outlined in your child’s letter of admission to the school.
