Admission Procedure

Application 2021-2022 Academic Year

The application period for the 2021-22 school year will open on Monday, July 20, 2020. You will then be able to register your child online.

We have recently changed our admissions process. Please note that students are selected based on an analysis of their academic record. There are no longer exam sessions. Students applying to enter secondary 3, 4 or 5 may be required to have an interview.

Please ensure you have the following documents ready before completing the application form:

  • Report cards: Digital copies of the student’s final report card for the last two years (June 2019 and June 2020)
  • Birth certificate: A digital copy indicating the name of the child’s mother and father
  • If the child was born outside Canada:
    • A digital copy of the citizenship or permanent resident’s card or certificate, or originals and photocopies of the student’s and parents’ visas, if applicable
    • Two pieces of identification showing the name and address of a parent residing in Quebec (digital copy)
  • If the student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), include a copy of the most recent version. It will be taken into consideration in reviewing your child’s file.

The documents must be submitted online before September 25, 2020.

The online application form:

  • Step 1 - Personal information
  • Step 2 - A username and password will be created for the admissions portal.
    • Keep this information in a safe place as it will be needed to log into the portal.
  • Step 3 - Upload all required documents.
  • Step 4 - Online payment of $50 for administrative fees.

Once the application has been submitted changes on Step 1 can no longer be made online. An email must be sent to admissions.

Wait for the school’s decision, which will be made after all applicants’ files have been reviewed. Decisions will be posted on the admissions portal on October 5, 2020. There are three possible outcomes:

  • The student is accepted
  • The student is put on a waiting list
  • The student is not accepted

For students who are accepted:

During the week of October 5, 2020, you will be asked to login to the portal to sign the registration form and confirm your acceptance of a place at Villa Maria for the 2021-22 school year.

A non-refundable registration fee of $200 will be payable at that time.

Secondary 1 to 5

    • Two pieces of identification showing the name and address of a parent residing in Quebec (digital copy)

registration

After being accepted to Villa Maria College, you must send us your registration form and pay the admission fees. Please send us the form and payment according to the instructions outlined in your child’s letter of admission to the school.
